Ruben Camacho, Founder & Director

He has been invited to perform in recitals, with orchestras, chamber music ensembles and also to teach in New York, Paris, London, Buenos Aires, Bogota, and Caracas, among other cities. In 2002 Mr. Camacho was invited to perform in the Cervantino Music Festival, (Mexico). He has also participated in the Tanglewood Music Festival (USA) and Montpellier Music Festival (France).

He obtained his BM in Music from Juilliard School under Margaret Pardee, Felix Galimir, Jonathan Feldman, and members of the Juilliard String Quartet. In 1993 he moved to Paris and began to study violin with Professor Jacques Ghestem and conducting with maestro Jean Sebastien Bereau from the Conservatoire National Superior de Musique de Paris. In 2002 the government honored him with the gift of French nationality. Born in Venezuela, he studied with maestro José Francisco Del Castillo. Since an early age he has performed with all major orchestra in his country. He has given recitals, orchestra concerts, and master classes through Venezuela.

He also was a founder of The Humboldt String Quartet that performed throughout North America, South America and Europe. He is privileged to have worked with maestros such as Leonard Bernstein, Andre Previn, Kurt Mazur, Jaimes Depreist, W. Sawalish, C. M. Guilini, Eduardo Mata, Henryk Szeryng, Maurice Hasson, Dorothy Delay, Albert Markov and Aaron Rosand. In 2010 Mr. Camacho finished writing his book The Key To Learning The Violin. In the year 2000 he became the father of a beautiful girl, Clara.
