CHARLESTON INTERNATIONAL MUSIC SCHOOL (CIMS)

REGISTRATION AND AGREEMENT

FOR ECMCS STUDENTS

This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of your child’s participation in Charleston International Music School.

I understand that this program is a year-round school program and has the purpose of teaching my children music, the same way as a music school.

Enrollment

CIMS services are provided by mutual consent, and either party may terminate services at any time. If your child’s conduct, musical progress, or cooperation with CIMS teachers does not meet the program’s standards, CIMS leadership reserves the right to terminate the agreement with your child. If you cannot support your child’s progress within the program, you agree to withdraw your child quietly and orderly. No refund of the registration fee or used tuition will be provided if your child is withdrawn or asked to leave.

Discipline

You agree that discipline is necessary for your child’s education and commit to supporting the authority, philosophy, objectives, policies, and discipline of CIMS

Practicing

In order to achieve excellence in music, practice has to become a discipline and a habit, NO PRACTICING = NO PROGRESS. It is required that  parents help and encourage their child to practice at least 3 - 4  times a week. The amount of time will be specified by the teacher(s), according to the age and level of the child.

Emergency Procedures

In case of an emergency or serious illness, CIMS will attempt to contact you first. If you cannot be reached, CIMS has permission to make necessary arrangements for your child’s treatment. If the emergency is life-threatening and you cannot be reached, the attending physician has permission to act as needed, absolving CIMS of liability.

Liability

You waive and release CIMS from liability in the event of an accident, allergy-related incident, or serious illness. If CIMS cannot contact you and immediate action is required, CIMS may take whatever steps it deems necessary in its best judgment.

Parental Commitment

You commit to fostering a positive environment for all children in the program. Complaints must be addressed directly with the person involved, not shared with other parents or on social media. If unresolved, issues may be escalated to the CIMS Director. Should CIMS determine that your actions do not support a cooperative and committed relationship with the program, CIMS reserves the right to request the withdrawal of your child.

Agreement Changes

If there is an update to this agreement CIMS will notify you. Admission to the program is a privilege, not a right. By selecting below, “ I agree with the terms” you are to be bound by this agreement.

A $40 one-time non-refundable registration fee is required for the school to provide sheet music and teaching materials to new students (the instrument is not included).

How to Pay:

There are several ways you can pay for classes. You can use Venmo, Zelle, Check and Cash. You can also pay with credit card but a 3.5% credit card processing fee will be added.

For Venmo use: @Ruben-Camacho-10

For Zelle use: info@cimschool.org

Checks to: CIMS

Credit Card:  Click here   (a 3.5% credit card processing fee will be added).

Note on Venmo Payments:

Most parents like to use Venmo as a way of payments, and we also like it. But there is a possibility, that probably you are already aware of,  that Venmo might start charging a fee per transaction. If this is the case, and Venmo decides to start charging a fee, we’ll then change payment methods to an ACH. And only in the case that you choose to keep using Venmo as a form of payments, the fee added per transaction will be covered by parents. We also accept checks and cash.
